Security Council
The Security Council is the most powerful body within the United Nations. The Security Council consists of five permanent members (with veto power) and ten rotating members, who are elected by the General Assembly for a two years term. The Security Council is primary responsible for the maintenance of international peace and security. Only the most urgent and important cases are discussed. At MUNA we always select the countries that were in the Security Council in December before the start of the conference.
