MUNA 2014 charity: Thank you letter from the Thai Burma border
December 21st 2014
Last year MUNA supported our friends on the Thai-Burma Border from www.burmachildren.com. They asked our help to raise funds to create a community garden for their patient house in Chiang Mai.
The garden is important in the recovery process of the patients. Many patients have to stay in the patient house for a long time, far away from their family in Burma. Furthermore the garden provides vegetables for the patients kitchen.
We raised 1000 euro for the garden last year! The garden is already blossoming.
We received this letter a while ago, but now we can show it to everyone on the new MUNA website.
'Dear MUNA 2014 delegates,
The staff and patients at the Burma Children Medical Fund would like to wholeheartedly thank you for your fantastic fundraising efforts. MUNA is always a big success in conjunction with Alfrink College and you always surpass our expectations – so well done!
Our patients are already busy putting the garden together and we look forward to sharing with you the progress of the garden and its impact on the house.'
Patients and staff of the Burma Children Medical Fund.'
This year MUNA supports Street Survivors India. Our aim is to create a study fund to support the higher education of children from financially marginalized families who live in one of the poorest districts of India, in Murshidabad, West-Bengal, close to the border with Bangladesh.
The MUNA chairity effort shows that a small effort can make a big change in the lifes of some people who really can need some help to be able to breathe a little easier. Many small efforts bring together a big change.
We hope that all delegates of this year's conference be the change as well in the lifes of some children in India who can't follow their dream of going to college/univesity without their support.
Let's be the change, also in 2015!
