Covid-19 Update

The MUNA Board and our Staff Members are very aware of the widespread pandemic that is afflicting the entire world at the moment. However, especially in times like these, solidarity and communication have proven to be extremely important, which is why we have agreed on hosting our conference no matter what. Since we cannot yet predict what our society will look like next year, we are preparing ourselves for two scenarios. Initially, we will prepare for a scenario in which travelling abroad is partially or completely restricted. In this case, we will host MUNA as a (semi-)online conference in which students from abroad that cannot come to the Netherlands will take part in the debates by means of live streams. Of course, we are hoping for the situation to have improved by next year's February, which is why the second scenario we are preparing for will be the 'usual' conference. At all times, we will respect the measures taken by the Dutch government and preserving everyone's health will definitely be our first priority. As the conference will be taking place in about seven months from now, it is still too early to be able to say something reasonable about the exact way the conference will be hosted. However, we hope that we have given you a clearer idea as to how we will be approaching the situation. Finally, please keep an eye on this website in the ‘news section’ for any updates regarding these two scenarios. If you have any questions, feel free to ask one of our staff members, we would love to help you out.
